Chris Barron started the Jewelers' School in the Fall of 2003 after 30 years of experience in every aspect of the jewelry industry. The Jewelers' School is located in the Arts and Industry Building in Florence, Massachusetts; a part of Northampton known nationally as a creative arts community. He has a wealth of experience, and is a master of hand engraving-- a skill rarely found today. He also specializes in antique jewelry restoration, and has restored many valuable pieces hundreds of years old. Having worked as a bench jeweler, he is an expert in stone setting, repairs, custom design and drawing skills, including computer aided design. With his interest and love of teaching, he has combined his skills and experience to teach a comprehensive education in all the aspects of making jewelry. The Jewelers' School is fully equipped with all tools, including casting equipment and six work benches.
